On Saturday we had a PTM at our kiddo’s school. Parents complained that the teacher should slow down on the social science curriculum. To this, the teacher politely replied–Don’t just make your children to the homework.
The concepts were being cleared in the school. Homework in the form of worksheets was to help the child revise and remember. However, most parents accumulated the homework for the weekend and it looked to be a colossal task. Also, their focus was to finish the homework which adds to the burden.
I found this scenario very similar to our day-to-day life. Every single day we think of the tasks at hand and focus on just doing it so we can go home on time. Mostly, we don’t finish. As a result, we wait after office hours. This happens throughout the week. We enjoy the weekend, and then on Monday, the reality strikes again. This leads to Monday blues.
