My kiddo had a holiday and my wife was bored with cooking. So today, we decided to go out for lunch. Now, this wasn’t the first time, I was dining out. But the customer service at this restaurant won our hearts. I was awed. While I am sure the duty manager who served us had his highs; as a career coach, I had my own set of highs while experiencing this exceptional customer service. I could draw the 7 parallels mentioned below between the exceptional customer service and habits to embrace for fast-track career growth which I must share with you all -
The Bollywood movie Mission Mangal released on 15 August 2019, celebrated the 50th year of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). The movie showcased the launch of India’s very own satellite in Mars’ orbit. It was a monumental mission but with a ton of constraints – miracle of sorts and a thing of great pride for India. All of the drama that revolved around this mission is well portrayed in the movie. But then, I don’t intend to write a movie review here. Instead, I do want to describe some similarities I was able to observe in the movie and in career.
Last week I was at Haridwar to attend the Ganga Aarti at the Har-ki-Pauri ghat. I had attended it multiple times earlier but this time it seemed special. I had an experience, I had never had before. Maybe because I got an opportunity to see it closely and learn some unusual lessons. As a Career Coach, I would like to relate to career breakthroughs.
